It was a quiet weekend indeed as spring holdover Michael was the winner at $26M thanks to no legitimate releases. Prada 2 somewhat took advantage of the lull with another $17M to cross the $175M threshold. But Mortal Kombat II blew a great chance to get ahead of the pack with a horrible -65.2% second weekend drop for just $13M. Ouch!

Among the newcomers the big surprise was $17M for Obsession, largely exceeding its $11M projection. Impressive for an indie horror movie on a $1M budget.
